The passing of time in mindless amusement is surely a universal human condition.
In youth, it’s expected. Mid-career, it’s a relief. And in the last third of life, it’s a familiar habit practiced in full view of the ticking clock.
I don’t know about you, but that last panel caused me to get out of my chair and kick start my circulatory system, aware, again, that time doesn’t care how we spend it. That’s our job.
