"Infinity is a trap."

So wrote Seth Godin last week in a post entitled "Leave stones unturned" (below). People who are frequently bored are incurious. People who are curious can be completely overwhelmed by "content" these days. There's no end. Seth is arguing for a filter, a discernment, a discipline. We can all fill our time. The challenge is to make it memorably worth it — to fill ourselves, not just our agendas. If we want meaning, we have to put some effort into being meaningfully focused, out in the open.

Leave stones unturned

If it’s the wrong stone, walk away.

Infinity is a trap.

The frenzied search for more is a distraction and a place to hide, all in one.

Pick the right stones and cherish them as you turn them over.

That’s enough.
